Article in the Journal this morning reminded me of the original story several weeks ago about the sensitive documents being thrown in the Smith Park dumpster. Haven't heard about any investigation by the city nor any countermeasures to assure that it doesn't happen again. What say you, Ms. Gilleland- Mr. Duritsch? What have you found out on your investigation, who was disciplined for the infraction and what has been put in place to assure sensitive document security? You owe an explanation to the public about why you can't handle the public's business and why your subordinates are so careless with the paperwork. Anyone from the city want to tackle this subject or aren't you prepared/set up at this time to address this issue?

You are right Vet, the city manager owes an explanation to the tax payers. It looks like another oversight and or lack of experience from the manager.

At the very least they owe a letter to the individuals that had their personal information violated.  If this were a bank they would be required to send a letter, purchase protection to have their credit reports monitored for fraud.  This is a serious matter, that the city is not taking seriously.
