Catastrophe
By Dick Morris, Eileen McGann
Book Description
It's time to take back our country. Now. It's that simple. It's that urgent. So begins Dick Morris and Eileen McGann's latest and most important book. They say that we must act before President Barack Obama fully implements his radical political agenda. Because after Obama has won his war on prosperity and canceled the war on terror, it will be too late to regain our liberty or our security. At a time when we needed a pragmatic centrist to lead us out of recession, we got a doctrinaire socialist who wants to use the crisis to put the government in charge of the economy and enact European socialism here in the United States. Cars, banks—what's next? He will keep at it until Washington governs every major business in America and sets all our salaries. It's a catastrophe. Dick Morris and Eileen McGann saw the meltdown coming. In their book Outrage, they called out the house of cards that was Fannie Mae. In Fleeced, they went after the credit card companies, the subprime mortgage lenders, and the hedge fund billionaires who conspired to wreck the economy—and Barack Obama, whose policies, they predicted last summer, would "trigger a stock market crash." Now, in Catastrophe, Morris and McGann take a hard look at America in free fall—and at how Obama is transforming a vulnerable America into a socialist state. They tell the truth about Obama and his radical policies:
But Obama is not working alone. Morris and McGann spell out how Congress is complicit:
"This is no time for apathy or alienation or hopelessness," Morris and McGann remind us. "It's a time for action." And that action must begin now—before it's too late. |

No Free Lunch- like all topics, one has to look at both sides and assess the information. I notice you like posting the conservative side, which, of course, paints the liberals as one step short of apocalyptic. To be fair, how about referencing some literature from the other side that focuses on the truth of what is happening rather than conservative spin from those opposed to the party in control right now? And yes, before we get into a full blown political war here, that no one will win, the Dems do the same thing and need to learn how to cut the spin also. Both parties are guilty of the same things. Your method of using this forum to post political wildfires has and is being done by others and ultimately will not convert the readers about the two parties. All of us decided long ago which side of the fence we reside politically. Most of us are somewhere in the middle I would imagine. JMO

The liberal truth:
one payer health care
cap & trade huge tax increase for citizens
Amnesty for all illegals
Government now runs Government Motors
pay czars
Hell we have Czars for everything now
Immigration enforcement which is now none exsistent thanks to Obama
Gitmo detainees now coming to America
Miranda rights on the battlefield
a House and Senate run by two of the most despised people in government
do we need more truth

wasteful- like I said, post til your heart's content, it won't convert anyone unless they are incapable of forming their own opinions. If it helps you to vent, have at it. Concerning your list of atrocities by liberals- some listed haven't happened as yet. Some I agree with and some ..... Now post a list of some of the things you found appalling when your party was in charge the last 8 years..... you know.... to be totally objective about things. We all like to hear both sides of the story..... or do we?

Vet, Not trying to convert anyone, I think Obama and the Dems while not converting anyone they are pushing people to a more conservative view with their actions. I notice you always fall back on the same line, " what the last Admin did". Dems can not continue to use that excuse, Iraq is all but over. Obama is now fighting what he thinks is the war that should have been fought in the first place, so what matters now is what The Dems and Obama do: with Afghanstan
with Pakistan
with illegal immigration
with health care
with medicare
with Iran
with Gitmo
with Cap & Trade
with oil
with GM
with the economy
with Korea
I think Obama, Reid and Pelosi are doing an excellent job of ensuring the Dems will not have full control of either the House or Senate come 2010, one will be in Rep. hands, works for me.
