MOTION AGENDA (a) To authorize a contract off the Southwest Ohio Purchasers for Government Cooperative Purchasing Contract for highway rock salt from the North American Salt Co., in the amount of $48.59/ton for the approximate usage of 4,000 tons over the 2013-2014 winter season. (b) To authorize the City Manager to enter into a contract with Kleingers and Associates, Inc. for engineering services associated with improving Oxford State Road between Yankee Road and Spurlino Way. 7. Ordinance No. O2013-41, an ordinance authorizing a contract with Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company, LLC for various telecommunications services. (2nd Reading)2. Ordinance No. O2013-42, an ordinance authorizing a contract with Ohio Bell Telephone Company dba AT&T for certain telecommunications services. (2nd Reading)3. Resolution No. R2013-17, a resolution confirming a determination of the City Planning Commission approving an amendment to the Planned Use Modification Development Plan for the mobile home park located at 2410 Carmody Boulevard in an I-1 (Industrial Park) District and declaring an emergency.4. Resolution No. R2013-18, a resolution to make adjustments to appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Middletown, Counties of Butler and Warren, State of Ohio, for the period ending December 31, 2013. (Downtown Improvement Fund) (2nd Reading)5. Resolution No. R2013 -19, a resolution approving the application for the creation of a Community Entertainment District to be known as the "Downtown Middletown Community Entertainment District" and declaring an emergency.6. Ordinance No. O2013-43, an ordinance establishing a procedure for and authorizing a contract between the City and Graphic Packaging International, Inc. for the sale of City owned property and declaring an emergency. (No action requested until September 3, 2013)7. Resolution No. R2013-20, a resolution to make adjustments to appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Middletown, Counties of Butler and Warren, State of Ohio, for the period ending December 31, 2013. (Property Development Fund) (1st Reading)8. Ordinance No. O2013-44, an ordinance authorizing a development agreement with Historic Rose Furniture, LLC. (1st Reading)9. Resolution No. R2013-21, a resolution to make adjustments to appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Middletown, Counties of Butler and Warren, State of Ohio, for the period ending December 31, 2013. Resolution No. R2013-19, a resolution approving the application for the creation of a Community Entertainment District to be known as the "Downtown Middletown Community Entertainment District" and declaring an emergency. A "COMMUNITY ENTERTAINMENT DISTRICT" FOR DOWNTOWN MIDDLETOWN FOR WHAT PURPOSE? WE ALREADY HAVE A DOWNTOWN "INCUBATOR" AND A DOWNTOWN "PARTNERSHIP" PROGRAM AND THE DOWNTOWN GROUP THAT KAY RUNS. WHO'S GONNA RUN THIS PROGRAM? WILL THERE BE ADDITIONAL POSITIONS CREATED FROM THIS? ALOT OF "DOWNTOWN" ORGANIZATIONS BEING CREATED. MAYBE SOME DUPLICATION OF EFFORTS HERE? DUNNO. AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY FOR THIS? WHY? Ordinance No. O2013-44, an ordinance authorizing a development agreement with Historic Rose Furniture, LLC. (1st Reading) AKA THE "GIVE-AWAY" PROGRAM AT TAXPAYER EXPENSE. |

And how much money can we funnel in to THIS organization? Good Lord, give it a break. And you want to give the city credit for WHAT? When they turn around and do something like this!, No I'm trying ,but all I see is incompetence time after time.

I heard Marty Kohler is going to retire and then be hired to run the entertainment district.

NO, NOT QUITE 29. THE ONLY WAY WE GET RID OF KOHLER IS WHEN HE LEAVES TOWN WITH A ONE WAY TICKET..NEVER TO RETURN. SAME GOES FOR THE OTHER GILLELAND CLOWNS INCLUDING MOST OF COUNCIL. ALL OF THEM LEAVING WOULD BE THE BEST THING FOR THE CITY AT THIS POINT IN TIME. DONE ENOUGH DAMAGE. ANGERS ME THAT WE NOT ONLY HAD TO PAY THIS CLOWN'S SALARY, BUT WILL BE PAYING ON HIS RETIREMENT ALSO. DOESN'T DESERVE TO RETIRE ON THE TAXPAYER'S DIME. |
