I have known Ken for the last 14 years and have worked with him on the Middletown Parades for the last 11 years.  Ken you will be missed by everyone.  I know  that you, my dad Ken Young, Ruth Tunnell, and Gordon Pence are lining up that BIG PARADE in Heaven.  Rest in Peace...

News Death Notice

WILLS, Kenneth E. 70, of Middletown, died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at home. He was born in Middletown on August 31, 1941 to parents Kelly C. and Florence (Reeves) Wills. Kenneth served his country in the United States Army where he served from 10/11/1966 to 10/10/1968. Mr. Wills was a member of Jefferson Lodge #90 F&AM, the Middletown Chapter 87 Royal Arch Masons, Middletown Council 136 Royal & Select Masons, Middletown Commandery #71, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton, Antioch Shrine of Dayton, Middletown Shrine Club (was president in 1987 and 1998). He was a life member of DAV 131, American Legion Post 218 and VFW 3809 where he was Post Commander 1979- 1980, a member of the Veterans' Memorial Committee, 40 years as a member & chairman of the Middletown Patriotic Memorial Day & Independence Day Parades. He was also a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Wills is survived by his wife, Jenny Sue (McCandless) Wills; stepson, Mark (Diana) Hatfield; Brother David (Dorothy) Wills; daughter, Melinda and 3 grandchildren. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at WILSON-SCHRAMM-SPAULDING FUNERAL HOME, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd., Middletown with Reverend Laureen Roe officiating. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service from 9-11 am. Wed. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care Of Middletown, 1001 Grove Street, Suite 800, Middletown, OH 45044 or Shriners Hospitals For Children, 3229 Burnett Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095. Didn't know Mr. Wills. He's a fellow Vietnam vet, put in his time, was honorable and that's all I need to know to call him brother.
