Walk For Lupus Fundraiser

Join the Lupus Foundation of America (LFA) Walk for Lupus Now® to bring us one step closer to finding a cure! Thousands of walkers participate in nearly 70 cities across the nation to raise urgently needed funds for life-saving research and support programs that help the estimated 1.5 million Americans who are affected by this unpredictable and potentially life-threatening disease.

Walk for Lupus Now is an opportunity for the lupus community to come together, to learn how to better live with lupus, and raise awareness of the disease in our local communities.

It's So Simple- Here's how it works!

Each registered participant is responsible for their individual fundraising.

Teams are encouraged to build support!

Individuals collect donations/pledges from friends, family, neighbors, school, and work associates.

All Pledges should be prepaid by the time of the walk.

There are two ways that you can participate.

1. Register now and create your own web page at www.walkforlupusnow.kintera.org/cincinnati. This allows you to raise pledges on-line. You may also collect offline donations and enter them into your webpage and turn in money raised the day of the walk.

2. You can collect money and register the day of the walk, Saturday, April 30th, 2010. All money raised must be turned in the day of the event.

Individuals who raise...

$50 will receive a Walk for Lupus Now T-Shirt

$100 will receive a Walk for Lupus Now Sweatshirt

$250 will receive a Walk For Lupus Now HUG ME Blanket 

$1000 will receive a Walk For Lupus Now Jacket

$5000 will receive ALL OF THE ABOVE!

Awards will be presented the day of the walk.

*To be eligible for prizes and awards the participant must be registered on-line or turned in the office by Saturday, April 23, 2011.

• Largest amount of money raised by an individual/team.

   

• Top number of pledges.

   

• Largest team walking.

   

• Farthest distance traveled to attend.

   

• Oldest registered Walker.

   

• Team with the most visible Lupus Pride.

   

• Plaques will be presented to Teams raising over $1000. 

   

A minimum donation of $20 is requested to participate.
