Any reason for the city to change the charter to permit outside people to participate in making decisions for the city on the committees? The newspaper article doesn't give us a reason. Currently, as discussed in another topic here, we have members on the golf committee and others that do not live in the city.( check the zip codes on the lists of committee members) Why does the city allow this and want to encourage this? I thought the charter rules state that these committees were for Middletown people by Middletown people. What don't they want us to know?
