Concerning the meeting at the Manchester the other day between the Butler County Commissioners and the City Council members. Wouldn't it have been interesting to have invited certain members of the general public to the discussions? (It would have defeated the purpose if those public members were part of the group rubber stamping council's decisions, if you know what I mean)Perhaps, then, there could have been a "lively" debate on the street issues as well as other issues concerning the status of this town. The commissioners could have "gotten acquainted" with the real situation in Middletown. After all, how often do the citizens of Middletown have the attention of the Butler County Commissioners? They have ignored Middletown for years as they have concentrated on their home turf of Hamilton and their crown jewel of West Chester. Would have been interesting to see their reaction, face to face, as the real/unmasked problems of Middletown are presented to them by the people, not the dream world nonsense presented by some government official. Another lost opportunity for the people.
