Manchester Inn & Sonshine Building Status?

Does anyone know if both the Manchester Inn plus the Sonshine Building are still owned by the project redeveloper Mr. Grau?  Also, is he current with property tax payments?  Or, were annual property tax payments waived as a condition of property transfer?

When these "downtown" properties were sold by the city to Mr. Grau, did the contract conveyance documents have a typical reversionary clause for redeveloper non-compliance?  What if any recourse does the city have?  So many questions linger.

Yes, it's still owned by Manchester Hotel LLC of Geneva, Illinois (William Grau).  I was able to determine the property tax status of this real estate is $6,500+ that's due on 8/3/2017.  Also, wasn't the property conveyed to Manchester Hotel LLC by the city for $1.00 not too long ago?  Thank you.

Would you happen to know what's the status of the historic preservation tax credits earmarked for this project?  Is there anything new to report regarding proposed redevelopment efforts?  Thank you.

As per data posted on the Butler County Treasurer's website, it appears that the Manchester Inn LLC (Mr. Grau) failed to make a full first half 2017 property tax payment and was assessed a penalty.  A companion search for the adjacent Sonshine Building LLC (Snider Building - Mr. Grau) at 101-106 N. Main reveals that only a fraction of the first half 2017 property tax payment was made also resulting in a penalty.  Just like the Manchester Inn LLC, it remains to be seen what the second half 2017 payment will be?

One more time, is there any positive news on horizon regarding the status of this now several years old "revitalization" project?

I don't believe either property has been awarded state historic state credits--just that the buildings are eligible to be considered for.

Both properties were on the market for purchase, lease or investing.  But it appears as of June 5, they are now off market.

Looks like both properties have been relisted by a local agent and now have asking prices ($950k )manchester; $400k for Snider

Admin should comment on this---and those who negotiated these property giveaways see nothing amiss and want to return to Council and/or stay on the job???
The Sonshine building is full of broken windows. fallen bricks and weeds. Manchester not much better on the outside---why no nuisance citations, esp when other live properties are getting attention?

Here’s the Butler Co. Auditor’s records of transfers on the Manchester Inn which shows when the Thatcher Estate was sold to the city about six years ago:

March 3, 2011 Manchester Enterprises, Inc. to City of Middletown

then Grau’s purchase from the city about three years:

Sept. 26, 2014 City of Middletown to Manchester Hotel LLC

Grau’s purchase, under an LLC was purchased for $1 with the understanding that he would rehab it. Nothing was ever done to it because he had no money. The city was fully aware of this fact. According to the city’s agreement with him, he was dependent upon others (the city) for financial aid.
