Council Renames Airport

   Journal article concerning the renaming of the Middletown airport. Guess there's nothing on the agenda of any substance so we're renaming things. Economic development, street repairs, infrastructure, Towne Mall, the downtown area apparently aren't as important as renaming an airport which REALLY matters. More importantly,in the article, it stated that the Council has approved an ordinance that would allow up to two non- residents to serve on the commission. I thought we discussed this a while ago on this site and Mike Presta brought it to our attention that the city charter/laws stated that members of commissions had to be a resident. If so, can a simple vote by council override the charter/law? Did Council just violate the city law or was this "ordinance" done legally?

	If non residents could sit on Council.. how long till the whole thing is outsourced to India? LOL

	John we wish they had made it that simple, but we are talking City Council here. The New name is................. Middletown Regional Airport/Hook Field I think there is some reason to do with the land that Hook Field has to be tacked on there.
