Past council members in attendence were mentioned in the State of the City Speech. To find out who was there, you have to watch the video.
The full speech will be hosted on this site some time tomorrow. |

Oh...the ones that diverted funds for 25 years from streets and infrastructures to employee salaries? Can't wait to see these heads of state on display. Most would rather watch gutter ball at Eastern Lanes.

The real growth and quality of people were back in the Klosterman days and before when the boulevards were created, jobs were plentiful, money was flowing, the town didn't look as trashy, the town was respected in the region, the schools were still decent, there was still some semblence of downtown activity, the town didn't rely on Section 8, ghetto programs for revenue, decisions actually had a positive outcome, and you could actually see progress being made in the city.
Now......well......not so much. ![]() |

Sounds like a walk down memory lane. We can never go back.

Might not be able to go back John, but why is it taboo to adopt some tried and true policies of the past that have always worked? Why is it taboo to operate in some instances using time-proven methods? Sometimes one has to "walk down memory lane" to revisit proven ways that may have gotten lost in the shuffle over time.
I see no reason why we can't eliminate some the things we are doing today that have proven harmful to the city.....Section 8 for one and "go back in time" to where this town wasn't so dependent on fed handouts and the city stood on its own without assistance, capturing its share of progress. It ain't happening at all now on it's "hope and dreams" programs with Cincy State and PAC. Certainly not impressive to date. |
