If you want to play, you gotta play and that includes tooting our horn in the band. Here is a summary of the PTP Costs.

*     High School GMC activities (all sports) $900.00 per sport

*     High School GMC academic activities (Chess team and Academic Quiz team) $350.00

*     High School Academic activities (band, drama, thespians, student govt., national honor society, etc) $90.00

*     Middle School GMC activities (same as above) $500.00

*     Middle School Academic activities (same as above) $70.00

Two options for these rates.

1 - They are set high as a means to "get back" at those who did not support the levy: A very low class move.

2 - These are the true cost the school must bear for each activity: A very poor job of managing tax payer dollars.

Sad either way.

I remember being in the Chess club in high school, it consisted of sitting after school for an hour and playing.

Expenses: a teacher staying afterwards to supervise?

Dr. Fraizer is the fundraiser coordinator of the 543 Campaign. In this short video he outlines the fundraising efforts of his committee.
Main Fundraising Efforts of 543:
1. Deeds to 1-foot plots of Barnitz Field.
2. Direct donations
3. Student sale of discount coupons to local restaurants
4. Middie Mega-Carwash held the same weekend as the Ohio Challenge, the hot-air balloon festival.

I saw a large gathering out in front of the high school Saturday, looked like it had something to do with football. Did this have anything to do with fundraising?
