VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP WINTERIZE HOMES OF LOW-INCOME ELDERLY AND DISABLED IN MIDDLETOWN
The annual Prepare Affair, a volunteer effort to help low-income elderly and disabled homeowners prepare their homes for winter by raking leaves, cleaning gutters, repairing storm damage and similar chores, will be held on Saturday, November 15.
Nearly 3,000 volunteers are needed to help 1,000 families in the Cincinnati and Middletown area.
PWC and the City of Middletown are seeking all types of volunteers, especially volunteers to help clean gutters. Gutter cleaners must have their own truck and ladders. To volunteer, please call Lara Radkey or Angela Lacour at 513-351-7921 or register online at www.pwchomerepairs.org
City of Middletown’s Community Revitalization Department is partnering with People Working Cooperatively (PWC) to recruit volunteers and schedule work crews at the homes of those who have requested the services and have pre-qualified with PWC.
Since 1975, PWC organizes one of the largest single-day volunteer efforts in the region.
