Miami Valley Hospital Again Ranks No. 6 in Ohio, Best in Southwest Ohio
U.S. News & World Report has recognized Atrium Medical Center as a high-performing hospital in the treatment of congestive heart failure, according to its latest rankings out today.
“Atrium Medical Center’s wide range of cardiac services helps ensure that local residents can receive quality heart care close to home,” said Dr. Keith Bricking, the hospital’s president. “This recognition affirms the excellence that our compassionate team of providers, nurses, and clinical and support professionals bring to our hospital each and every day. I’m very proud of their dedication and commitment to our patients.”
U.S. News’ Best Hospitals procedure and condition ratings focus on individual procedures and conditions such as congestive heart failure rather than on broader specialties such as orthopedics and cardiology. The goal is to evaluate how well hospitals perform in each procedure or condition and not just with the most difficult cases, as with the specialty rankings, but with the full range of patients.
Another Premier Health hospital, Miami Valley Hospital, ranked sixth among all Ohio hospitals in the latest annual rankings released today by U.S. News & World Report. The hospital again had the best performance among all hospitals in Southwest Ohio.
Miami Valley Hospital also ranked 47th in the nation in urology care.
The hospital received a “high-performing” designation in 11 additional areas of care: nephrology; orthopedics; pulmonology and lung surgery; aortic valve surgery; heart bypass surgery; heart failure; colon cancer surgery; chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD); hip replacement; knee replacement; and lung cancer surgery.
