Two Months Until Atrium Medical Center Opens
Monday, October 15, 2007 10:55:35 AM - Middletown Ohio
by Bill Rogers

With less than 2 months until the slated December 9th opening of Atrium Medical Center, work is on schedule and everything seems to be proceeding well. On Sunday, November 11th from 1 PM to 5 PM there will be a public grand opening.

Some of the buildings besides the hospital itself, which will be a five-story, 250-bed facility featuring all private rooms include a 111,000 square foot professional center, a 43,000 square foot cancer center, and a 29,000 square foot behavioral health pavilion which will all be attached to the main building. Five other campus buildings are in construction or scheduled to begin construction soon, including: Dayton Children's Specialty Care Center, the Ann and Arthur W. Bidwell Surgery Center, Greentree Health Science Academy, a YMCA and a senior housing community.

For more information on Atrium Medical Center visit their website at http://atriummedcenter.org/.

I think the hospital will be the greatest thing that has happened to Middletown since Armco located here over 100 years agl.

You're absolutely right Joe, the new Hospital is the most promising thing about Middletown. The development of the East End near the hospital also shows great promise for ushering in a new era of prosperity in Middletown. It would be great if we could get another large employer in the city.
