The area around the Town Mall will be welcoming a new business to the neighborhood, as the all new ALDI prepares to open its doors in May of this year. The construction site has been up and running for a few months and seems to be right on schedule.
The Food market has been in Middletown since June of 1990 and has been located on Roosevelt Boulevard. The new store will be located on the corner of Pendleton circle and Cincinnati-Dayton Road.
Ranked 25th among U.S. grocery chains in gross sales (Supermarket News 2008), ALDI's significant growth during the past 30 years has been achieved with no mergers or acquisitions. ALDI began in the U.S. in 1976 in Iowa and is headquartered in Batavia, Illinois. Today ALDI has approximately 1,000 stores in 29 states serving more than 18 million customers each month.
