Many Middletown residents were shocked at the recent news that involved one of its close neighbors, Fairfield, who was involved in an immigration scandal. On August 28 the Office of Sheriff Jones and hundreds of federal agents joined forces in this latest crackdown of illegal aliens and businesses who employ them. The raid of Koch Foods resulted in over 160 arrests for immigration violations and twenty subjects were additionally charged with various state felony offenses including “Forgery” and “Identity Theft”. Sheriff Jones also adds an additional warning to those companies that employ illegal aliens saying "Take heed, your business could be next!".
