On Friday March 26, 2010 from 4 to 8PM a visitation for City Council member Jim Armbruster will be held at Wilson Schramm Spaulding Funeral Home, the funeral will be on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at St. John’s Church.

Armbruster under went open heart surgery and was said to be recovering from the procedure, but lost his life one week later due to compactions from the surgery.  Armbruster had served one full term on Middletown’s City Council and was just re-elected to his second four year term this past November after defeating Gary Barge for the first ward seat.

Vice Mayor Anita Scott-Jones told MiddletownUSA.com that “Armbruster was a great family man and it was a pleasure to have known and worked with him. He will be missed.”

The Armbruster family has owned and operated a business in Middletown for more than 60 years.
