Roger Reynolds will replace Kay Rogers, who resigned in February after pleading guilty to federal charges tied to a loan taken out in the county's name without authorization, and failing to report income to the IRS.
Mr. Reynolds was elected Clerk-Treasurer for Liberty Township in November of 2003. The State changed the title to Fiscal Officer effective in 2006. He has resigned this position and was sworn in at Butler County Auditor Tuesday night, April 15, 2008.
According to kypost.com, Reynolds vows to restore trust in the auditors office. “We’re starting over today. This is a fresh start,” Reynolds said. “I’ll use my experience to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.”
Reynolds takes over the county auditor's job immediately, and will be the Republican candidate to run against a Democratic opponent in the November election.
