Butler County Auditor Roger Reynolds is some kind of hero. He has effectively lowered property values on over 15 thousand homes by an average of 11%. And that means lower taxes for many in Middletown.

Josh Sweigart of the Middletown Journal reports that Middletown saw a reduction of nearly $43 million on 7,694 properties.

The overall tax decrease will not be huge, but it will be more accurate according to Commissioner Donald Dixon.
