Its is being reported today by the Associate Press that Quaker Chemical will be shifting some of its operations from Detroit to the state of the art Middletown, Ohio facility.
Earlier this month Quaker chemical announced a $19.8 Million expansion in Middletown. And at the May 6, 2008 Middletown City Council meeting, Ordinance No 02008-40 was presented, a modification of the enterprise zone agreement with Quaker Chemical. See Quaker Chemical Plant Expansion Video.
Quaker Chemical Company plans to add approximately 18,000 sq. ft. facility to their existing location. This improvement is expected to bring 40 new jobs and $1.9 million in payroll to the Middletown area.
Quaker Chemical Company plans to bring steel cleaner and hydraulic fluid production to Middletown as part of an ongoing cost savings effort.
