Staff is meeting this week to discuss the ongoing monitoring of Sorg Opera House for code violations. It is our intent to ensure that the Sorg is properly maintained since it is a valuable piece of our history. In the following cases we may enforce demo orders: Riverside Trailer Park, the church which burned on South Main, Whitt Machine and the commercial strip center on Eldora and Verity. We have been working with the owners over months, if not years now on improving the structures and there has been little significant improvement.
