Poll Shows College Students Prefer Obama Over McCain |

According to a national poll at Miami University 98 percent of the students are registered to vote. 87 percent of the students are expected to vote in the 2008 election. According to the poll 59 percent of the students plan to vote Barack Obama and 37 percent to vote for John McCain.
CBS news is holding what they call a youth election poll. Miami and 12 other schools that are in Ohio will be involved to see which presidential nominee they would pick. At Miami 356 students did the online poll. This online survey included students from Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Colorado.
Out of all four colleges 25,000 students polled at four-year colleges and universities. There was more than 60 percent in each state that preferred Obama-Biden over McCain-Palin. It was 61 percent of the students in Ohio that preferred Obama rather than McCain.
The main issue that Miami students are worried about is the economy. Out of all the students surveyed an average of 53 percent said that Obama had a better plan to resolve the countries economic problems. Leaving only 23 and 28 percent saying McCain had a better economic plan.
