In the recent poll many voters believe the economy will improve under the new President Barack Obama. Obama’s campaign slogan for this year was “Yes, we can” and many voters believe him when it comes to improving our economy.
The Quinnipiac University poll which was released today says that by 70-11 percent margin voters expect the economy to get better in Obama’s first term. This will not start though until January 20th when he and vice president Joe Biden are inaugurated.
This poll also found that by a 54-34 percent margin of voters done expect Obama to cut taxes for 95 percent of Americans like he had promised during his campaign. 28 percent said Obama would be a great president, 34 percent said he would be a good president, 14 percent said so-so, and 8 percent said he would be a bad president.
Many Americans have high hopes for Barack Obama. Although the troubling economy was on voters’ minds at the poll, 68 percent of voters said the most important thing that the nation is currently facing is unemployment.
