From City Manager: Judith Gilleland

The Division of Police recently hosted the Middletown Police Annual Awards banquet at the Fraternal Order of Eagles on First Avenue. The following awards were presented: Middletown Officer of the Year – Detective David Swartzel, Corrections Officer of the Year- Candi Stultz, Dispatcher of the Year- Paula McDonald and the Meritorious Service Award for acts of heroism “above and beyond” the call of duty- Officer Chris Alfrey. Officer Jason Deaton received the Police Heart Award for actions taken in his assault during a traffic stop. Outgoing Police Chief Schwarber was presented a proclamation naming May 19, 2011 as “Gregory J. Schwarber” day in honor of his 30 years of service to the City of Middletown.
