5th seeded Monroe dominated, intimidated No. 2 Canal Winchester 47-21 in the Division III, Region 12 semifinals at Welcome Stadium. Monroe's offense dominated with 34 unanswered points.


Quarterback Tyler Osterman was effective in the air with 171 yards passing and even scored a touchdown. Ferguson ran for 111 yards on 18 plays.

The Monroe defense dominated the run and the pass, the Danny Leahey and Ben Leahey (brothers) each got 2 interceptions.

Simpson and McMonigle were 12 for 16 in receptions with 2 TD passes each.

Next week Monroe plays Indian Hill.
