Middletown's Company named VH1 Videographer

Rumford Productions
Press Release

MiddletownUSA.com - Local Middletown-based video production company, Rumford Productions was the official event videographer at the Abbey Road on the River Festival in Louisville, Ky over the Memorial Day weekend.

Footage from the event is now being played on the popular music television channel VH1.

Abbey Road on the River in its eighth year is the premiere Beatles tribute event in the world.  Rumford Productions was contracted to video tape the Cirque du Soleil arrangement of “Love” a Beatle multimedia experience both in-doors on Friday night and on the lawn Sunday night which was displayed live on the Jumbotron video screen next to the stage.  The company also video taped the live recreation of the Beatles White album including Revolution 9 on Saturday evening.

The event was a live switched production where cameras in multiple locations were switched onto the large video screen in real time as the shows were performed.

In addition to the video feed Jason Zucker of VH1 provided Beatle multimedia animations and psychedelic effects to enhance the overall visual experience.  All three shows were performed by a combination of musicians from various groups including Hal Bruce, Mark Beyer, Rachael Blanton, Jim “Ringo” Martin, Mark Rashotte and members of The Return.  Original Beatles drummer Pete Best was also on hand to give a talk and perform with the Pete Best Band.

The Abbey Road on the River Beatle festival is an annual event, more information is available at http://www.abbeyroadontheriver.com.  More information on Rumford Productions can be found at www.rumfordproductions.com.  The attached video was produced by VH1 and is currently running on their network.
