As many people already know this past Friday was the much anticipated football game between Middletown and Colerain. Colerain had not lost a GMC game for 61 straight games and had not lost 35 straight regular season games. That all changed Friday October 3rd when coach Jason Krause and the Middies came through to beat the cardinals 42-39.
Jason Krause was the former coach for Monroe a division III school. Football fans from Middletown were hoping that Krause would be able to help them with a winning season. Middletown competes in Division I in the Greater Miami Conference (GMC). Krause has now made it clear that he has high hopes for the Middies and they hope to go far this year.
The Middletown middies are now ranked #1 in the GMC with a record of 5-2, 4-0 GMC. While the Colerain cardinals are now 6-1 overall and 3-1 GMC. With four games left the win almost guarantees Middletown a spot in the playoffs.
