The Middletown City School District is sponsoring a Watch Party, for the governor's Conversations on Education, on Tuesday, July 29 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. at Miami University Middletown in the Campus Community Center (room 142) Johnston Hall, 4200 East University Blvd.
Superintendent of Middletown City Schools Steve Price said, “This is an important time for the community to come together and provide input to the Governor’s office regarding the needs of our district. At this meeting, we will view Governor Strickland’s presentation and then have group discussions and a question and answer session.” Dean of MUM Kelly Cowan will facilitate the discussions. “Participant responses will be recorded and reported back to the Governor’s office via the method provided by the Governor’s office. I’m really excited about the event and hope that we have a lot of participation,” Price added.
According to a press release issued by the governor’s office, the governor's office is encouraging all school districts to organize Watch Parties. It’s a great way to engage each district in the discussion about what we need to do to ensure that Ohio’s schools are among the best in the world and meet the needs of every child.
