The Middletown, Ohio Board of Education roster has seen some major changes, seeing the loss of former board president John Venturella, former board Vice President Mark McClure, as well as the recent resigning of board member Dr. David Kabithe. 2000-2004 board member Rev. Gregory Tyus was appointed in Dr. Kabithe's place in early December to serve out the remainder of his term until 2010.
Members Katie McNeil and Marcia Andrew are still on the board, and new members are joining in the faces of former Fire Chief John Sauter, as well as Christopher Fiora. State law requires school boards to pick leadership by January 15th of each new year, so tonight will see the choosing of a new President and Vice President on the Middletown's board. Additional organizational duties slated for tonight are the choosing of representatives from the board to its committees, as well as passing some routine power designation resolutions.
