Potholes in the city of Middletown, Ohio are running rampant, and motorists are scared. The problem is widespread, and according to the city's administration, we don't have the money to fix it. Motorists complain of flattened tires, bent rims, and the danger of having to switch lanes or swerve to avoid the potholes.
The city of Middletown is not legally liable for damage caused to your vehicle by a pothole unless the city had knowledge of the pothole's existence in advance, so it's in your best interests to let the city know about these potholes before they get truly out of hand. The city has addressed this need with the Pothole Patrol.
You can contact the Pothole Patrol on the Middletown City Website, or get ahold of them by calling the Pothole Hotline. Residents report that potholes are usually patched within 1-2 days of being reported, so do yourself a favor. You can discuss the Pothole Patrol on the MUSA Blog Forum.
