This grant is very much appreciated and will be used to send our people for much-needed training so they can be up to date on the latest trends and methods. Ultimately, our citizens are the ones who benefit. With better training, we can do our jobs better and have a safer Middletown.”

I still feel that additional training should be in place, just for ethics and character becoming of an officer. Especially one representing the people of Middletown. | 8/31/2008 10:24:52 AM | B Morrison | In response to this complaint about the Police Department, it really should go directly to the Chief. I know Greg, and I'm sure he would sit down and speak to any Middletown resident that had an issue with one of his staff. It's tough in today's job market to find a good, solid, police officer, with high morals and character. Female officers in particular, as they are held at a higher standard than everyone else. If they don't "meet" those standards, then it should be brought to the attention of those in charge of them. A woman wearing a badge certainly does not give them or any other male/female officer a reason to be degrading, or disrespectful to others. |
