MIDDLETOWN CITY CREWS WILL CONTINUE BRUSH PICK UP THROUGH FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31
Middletown City crews will continue the special brush pick up service following the recent wind storm until the end of October.
Residents who have brush to be removed should place the brush at the curb and call 425-1897 before Friday, October 31. If any brush piles have been missed, residents should also report those locations prior to the end of the month.
After October 31, City employees will return to their normal work duties.
Residents who miss the final brush pickup date may hire a private contractor to remove brush, haul the brush to Mulch Plus at 2864 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd, 423-8723 where they accept it for a payment of $10 per pickup truck load, or bundle brush in 4’ lengths, less than 70 lbs and place at the curb for Rumpke to remove during normal curbside trash pickup.
According to David Duritsch, Department Head for Public Works and Utilities, “Our City crews have been working almost exclusively on brush removal since the storm and have most of the larger brush piles removed. To get on with other city duties, such as preparation for the winter storms, we must end the brush removal service by the first of November.”
