On August 1, 2009 at 11:30 am Andrew Smith one of the Candidates for city council in the second ward will officially open his campaign office. The office is located at 1026 Central Avenue
When asked why he opened a campaign office downtown now, when the election isn’t until November, Mr. Smith made it clear that he wants people in the community to be able to come down and find out who he is and what he stands for.
The keynote speaker for the office opening is Steve Hightower President and CEO of Hightower’s Petroleum Co. Founded in 1984 by Stephen Hightower and building on a family business established in 1957, Hightower’s Petroleum was launched via a strategic alliance with oil giant BP Oil in early 1985. Stephen Hightower and his father Yudell Hightower are the majority stockholders of the closely held Ohio based corporation.
Mr. Smith is a lifelong resident of Middletown, having grown up on 16th and Wisconsin. He told MiddletownUSA.com in a previous interview that “Even at the age of 20, I understand that we have many challenges. My vision and passion for progression in the second ward will enable me to find one voice that unifies the community. That will ultimately allow our community to break down barriers and rise above expectations.”
