Artists 18 years of age or older within a 50-mile radius of Middletown, OH may enter the Middletown Arts Center’s Area Art Show, a juried exhibition which will take place August 15, 2008 – September 4, 2008

Dates for receiving artwork at the Center, located at 130 N. Verity Parkway in Middletown, will be from 10:00 to 2:00 on August 4 and 10:00 to 8:00 on August 5 & 6 and 10:00 – 4:00 on August 7.    A prospectus is available by calling the Center at 513-424-2417, going to the home page of our website or writing to the Center at PO Box 441, Middletown, OH 45042-0441.  There is no limit to the number of entries and there is a $15 non-refundable entry fee for each entry.  Works in oils, acrylics, watercolor, drawing, pastels, mixed media and photography are accepted.

“Best of Show” will receive $500.  Five $100 first place, $50 second place, and $25 third place awards will be given in the categories of Oils/Acrylics on Canvas, Watermedia, Mixed Media, Drawing (including pastels), and Photography.  Ribbons will be given for honorable mention.  The President’s Award will be presented and entitles the recipient to a one-person exhibit in the gallery at the Center.  There must be ten pieces exhibited in a category to be judged for an award and a maximum of three pieces per artist will be displayed in the exhibit.  All awards will be presented during the opening reception of the exhibition on August 15 from 6 to 8 p.m.
