Even though the Middletown Middies beat the #1 team in division I this past Friday and are now #1 in the GMC doesn’t mean they can take it easy and relax. This week the Middies will be hosting Lakota West who are currently 4,3 and 3-1 GMC.
Coach Jason Krause has told his team the win over Colerain is in the past and that they need to focus on the next upcoming game. Lakota West has won 5 out of the 9 games that they have played each other. Both Middletown and Lakota West have had similar seasons so far. Both lost their first two games at Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown and the Kirk Herbstreit Varsity Football Challenge. Since those games both have gone 4-1.
This weekend is also homecoming for the Middletown Middies. They have been focused all week and not letting all the activities and excitement for homecoming get in the way from the game. Winning this game will help the Middies become one more game closer to being in the playoffs, which hasn’t happened since 1990.
