2005 Middletown High School graduate Jeff See has been a recognized name in Middletown for awhile, and now recognized state-wide. See clocked in at a time of 3 minutes, 58.70 seconds for his outdoor mile run at the Music City Distance Classic in Nashville, Tennessee this month, beating the previous Ohio State record of 4:00:10 set by Tom Byers in 1974.
Not ready to stop there, See will be among the field of 48 runners in the 1,500-meter preliminaries at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. See's stated goal for the race is to make the finals, and he considers his latest accomplishments just another small step towards his final goal of running for the U.S. Olympic team.
