Middfest International Seeks Host Families For Visiting Foreign Performers

Middfest International seeks families to host foreign performers who will visit Middletown and the surrounding areas from September 28 through October 5 for the annual Middfest celebration.

Each year Middfest celebrates the many cultural aspects of a different country and in 2008 will feature Mongolia.  Visiting performers from Mongolia and Brazil will appear in local schools, libraries and other venues during the week of Sunday, September 28 through Friday, October 3.  They are also scheduled to perform throughout Middfest weekend October 3-5 at Donham Plaza in Middletown.

Visitors are housed with local families to help defray the expenses associated with travel to the US but also to encourage international understanding on a more personal level.  In years past, host families and their guests have formed strong bonds often resulting in locals traveling overseas to visit their former guests.

For more information about serving as a host family, contact the Middfest office at 513-425-7707 or by email at middfest@siscom.net.

Middfest's weekend celebration of Mongolia begins at 5:30pm on Friday, October 3 at Donham Plaza and continues through Sunday, October 5. Visit www.middfestinternational.org for more information on the many events scheduled throughout the weekend.
