Caryn Neumann, a Miami University of Middletown Professor of history, has written a book to help high school and undergraduate-level student's research term papers relating to black history. The book is titled "The Term Paper Resource Guide to African American History,” and covers the history of African-Americans from 1581 to Hurricane Katrina.
Neumann told the Middletown Journal, "So much of African-American history was lost or ignored for so many years, it is really a subject that begs for research and study, I hope that this book will pique the interest of students and guide them in the right direction as they do their own research projects."
Neumann has MA in History, Women's Studies, from Florida Atlantic University and a PhD in History form Ohio State University. She came to Miami of Middletown in 2007
