Miami Makes Obtaining a Bachelor Degree More Accessible |

Miami University Regional Campuses announced the approval for the new Bachelors of Integrated Studies Program at the Middletown and Hamilton campuses. The degree is designed for those who have varied interests and would like to gain experience in more than one area and for those who want to stay close to home and not to mention pay regional campus tuition. Miami makes also makes it easier to claim with evening and weekend classes for those who must work while they attend school.
The Bachelors of Integrated Studies requirements consist of acquiring the following:
- Obtain an associated degree by completing the Miami plan - 64 hours - The Intercultural Perspective - 9 hours - A Thematic Sequence - 9 hours - 21st century literacy courses or foreign language - 6 hours - The BIS Seminars - 9 hours - And Concentrations I & II - 24 hours
A total of approximately 121 hours
Concentration one Consists of at least 15 hour and you can choose from Applied Sociology, American Contemporary Experience, Environmental Studies, Family Gender and Society, Information Technology, Organizational Leadership and Understanding Media and Visual Culture. Concentration two consists of 9 credit hours from one of the other topics or with working with an advisor it is possible to create your own concentration.
The Bachelors of Integrated Studies certainly offers a plethora of experience and creates a well rounded education to help the student understand the world we live in and it’s people which is excellent regardless of what your career goals are.
