Due to the severe weather on Thursday January 7, 2010 the scheduled “Meet the Candidates for Superintendent” was postponed till Friday January 8, 2010 Beginning at 6:30 P. M. each candidate will make a presentation based on the information taken from the community forums held earlier in the search process. The session is scheduled to end no later than 8:00 P. M.

One of the candidates, Dr. Bob Sommers has pulled his name from consideration for the job. Sommers has been hired by Cornerstone Schools in Detroit to be the CEO of their newly formed charter management company, That leaves Lloyd D. Martin former Superintendent of Mansfield City Schools and Greg Rasmussen - Assistant Superintendent at Wichita Public Schools Wichita, Kansas.
