The Middletown City School District Technology Department is sponsoring four "Tech Talk Nights" beginning in January, 2005 and running through the end of
April. According to Gary Canterbury, Director of Technology for Middletown
City Schools, Tech Talk Nights are designed to provide an opportunity for the public to learn how technology is being used in the district's curriculum, and to see what new types of technology the Middletown City School District is planning for the future. "Participants will have an opportunity to ask general questions about our technology program, and share their ideas about technology for the future" Canterbury says. Members of the Technology Department will be available to demonstrate some of the new technology being used in the district.
Tech Talk Nights are scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on the following
Thursdays: January 28, February 24, March 24, and April 28. The sessions will be held in the Banquet Room of Manchester School, located on the corner of Breiel and Manchester Road. Canterbury says that the best way to get to the Banquet Room is to pull into the driveway of Manchester School (at the Manchester Road entrance) and drive around to the west side of the building near the tennis courts. Enter the building through door "K" and walk straight back to the end of the hall to get to the Banquet Room.
The general public is invited to attend any of these sessions. However, attendance is limited so registration is necessary. To register for an evening, call the MCSD Technology Department at 420-4657 and then press 2 to
speak to Sheree Garrett, who will register you. Or, email Sheree Garrett
