Many Types Of Entertainment Planned For Midfirst Ohio Challenge |

 Friday and Saturday, July 17 and 18, 4-10 pm, there
will be a wide variety of entertainment to keep every member of the family busy
at the MidFirst Ohio Challenge hot air balloon festival at Smith
Park/Middletown Regional Airport in downtown Middletown.
The 35 hot air balloons, including the two special
shape Little Bees, are the main attraction but there will also be Team Fastrax
skydivers doing several jumps throughout the event, topping off with
pyrotechnics after the evening balloon glows.
Stage entertainment features The Cleavers performing classic rock music on Friday
evening, Stagger Lee doing classic country and 3-Feet Deep doing classic rock both performing on
Saturday evening.
Once guests pay the $5 per vehicle to park,
admission and shuttle service is free as is most of the entertainment. –
Balloons, skydivers, musical groups, Native American Southern Singers village,
a visit with NFL football player Dave Lapham, water park, skate park, fishing
lake, balloon glow, classic car show and children’s discovery tent.
For an additional fee, guests can take tethered
balloon rides - $10 adults, $5 kids, donate $1 to charity and walk inside a
cold-air inflated balloon on the ground, or enjoy rides in the Murray Brothers
Carnival, feast on festival food, buy handmade arts and crafts and experience the
Mega Paintball Arena.
The MidFirst Ohio Challenge is designed to be
family-friendly and kept affordably low in cost thanks to the donations of
MidFirst Credit Union and other sponsors.
