"Places I Remember" Opens at Middletown Arts Center
Local and award winning artist Linda Fisler opened her "Places I Remember" gallery exhibit with a reception on Thursday, June 5th at the Middletown Arts Center. The theme of the exhibit revolves around original oil on canvas paintings created by Linda Fisler from places she has visited and has inspired her. From the spiritual Red Rocks in Colorado, the mystic Golden Gate Bridge and California Coastline to Caesar's Creek lake, the viewer of these paintings will be treated to an opportunity to take a small break and lose themselves in the subtle color notes and airy nature of the landscapes.
Aptly named, the exhibit also includes what Ms. Fisler calls "the Rock Fantasy Wall." This wall contains portraits of the John, Paul, George and Ringo from the Sgt. Pepper's era and with a hint of whimsy and psychedelic flare. Also present, seemingly pondering his future back then, is a portrait of Stephen Stills (Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young) appropriately named "Questions".
Not wanting to release all the surprises and enjoyment of seeing this exhibit, you should not miss the fantasy paintings on the "Rock Fantasy Wall".
"Places I Remember" will run through June 30, 2009 at the Middletown Arts Center located at 130 N. Verity Blvd in Middletown, OH.
