Earlier this year there was an estimate for possibly 335 new jobs in West Chester Twp. Now it has increased to the possibility of 400 new local jobs. In late January the health care provider Humana, Inc. was granted a 65 percent, seven-year tax abatement for a 140,000-square-food mail order pharmacy. It is nearly complete. The company officials have said the business intends to lease the building for the next seven years.
This will be the company’s second facility. The first one was in Phoenix, Arizona. At the beginning the company officials said the $23.4 million project would create 335 new jobs with average salaries of $55,000.
In the first couple months of operation West Chester will require 335 positions to be filled and an additional 65 will be needed in 2010. As of now the company in West Chester will probably not go over 400.
The company is based in Louisville, Kentucky and is a full-service benefits solutions company. They offer health and supplemental benefit plans for employer groups, government programs and individuals.
This news was discovered when Humana recently announced that they would add 700 jobs to facilities in Greater Cincinnati.
