The 2012-2013 season for Miami University Regionals Artist Series kicks off with Hugh Laurie with the Copper Bottom Band. Known for his role as Dr. House from the medical drama "House", Hugh Laurie is a blues enthusiast and will showcase his blues style. Laurie released his first album, “Let Them Talk.” It is currently ninth on the Billboard Blues charts and has been in the top ten for 49 weeks. 

Hugh Laurie and the Copper Bottom Band start the series on August 25th at Dave Finkelman Auditorium in Middletown. Other performances in the series at Miami Middletown are as follows:

Mary Black - November 14
Ladysmith Black Mambazo - February 13
Chick Corea - April 21

Performances are also scheduled for the Miami Hamilton campus at Parrish Auditorium. The schedule for those performances is as follows:

Carolina Chocolate Drops - November 19
Rhonda Vincent - March 9
Wilcox/Werner - April 13
