There have been reports of a fictitious email being sent to financial institution customers stating that the Director of Homeland Security has advised the FDIC to suspend all deposit insurance on the recipient’s bank accounts due to violations of the USA PATRIOT Act, until personal identity, including bank account information, can be verified.
This email is fraudulent! DO NOT access the link provided within the email and DO NOT provide any personal information to the sender of the email. If you have any questions, please contact your bank manager.
