HANDICAP AND REGULAR PARKING EASIER AT MIDFIRST OHIO CHALLENGE
Changes in entrance and parking arrangements at the MidFirst Ohio Challenge next weekend, July 17, 18 and 19 will make access easier for everyone.
All public parking is from Germantown Rd/SR4, at the Middletown Regional Airport entrance – next to Frisch’s Restaurant.
The $5 parking fee allows all vehicles – cars, trucks, buses and all occupants to access the hot air balloon festival site.
Vehicles displaying the universal handicap sticker will be routed into the Smith Park area, very near the balloon launch site and skydiver landing zone. Other vehicles will be directed to parking on the airport grounds with FREE shuttle bus service into the park. Several buses will be running the loop route constantly from parking lot to festival, including handicap buses. Guests who choose to walk into the park may enter at Wilbraham Rd or from the three entrances on Tytus Avenue. Pedestrian admission is $2 per adult, children under 13 with adults are free.
The MidFirst Ohio Challenge is designed to be family-friendly and kept affordably low in cost thanks to the donations of MidFirst Credit Union and other sponsors.
