CITY OF MIDDLETOWN TO PROVIDE FREE BUS
SERVICE TO FORECLOSURE SEMINAR TUESDAY, AUGUST
19
Anyone planning to attend the Butler County
Borrower Outreach Day at Butler Tech’s Public Safety Building, 5140 Princeton
Glendale Rd/Rt747, on Tuesday, August 19 may ride a Middletown City bus to and
from the meeting. Both the seminar and the bus service are
free.
Seminar hours are 2-8pm. Buses will depart
the downtown Middletown bus terminal at First and Broad Streets (across from the
Middletown Public Library) at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30pm. Return trips
from the seminar to the bus terminal will be at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00 and 6:00
pm.
“Mayor Larry Mulligan and City Council
members felt it was important to provide transportation to this event since
Middletown families are struggling with mortgage payments, credit and
foreclosures. The opportunity for our citizens to meet with people who can help
them solve these problems is very important. We are glad we can provide our
transit service to make it possible for anyone interested in attending to have
transportation,” said Judy Gilleland, Middletown City Manager.
The Outreach Day is an opportunity for those
worried about foreclosure to meet with lenders, helpful agencies and legal aid
representatives. No appointments are necessary and those attending will be able
to receive loan counseling, meet with mortgage loan representatives privately
and learn about refinancing. For information about the outreach day call
866-278-0003, or visit www.butlercountytreasurer.org.
The seminar is a service of Butler County
Treasurer Nancy Nix in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Commerce, Ohio
Housing Finance Agency, Ohio Treasurer Richard Cordray and Butler County Auditor
Roger Reynolds.
