Don Woods, Chief Building Official, of the Franklin Building Department reports the following activity for the month of October 2004:
Twenty-three permits were issued for the month with an estimated value of $2,047,729. In comparison September had fourteen permits issued with an estimated value of $807,945.
Eight permits were issued for new residential structures in Twin Lakes Subdivision and Shaker Meadows Subdivisions with an estimated construction value of $1,383,568.
Two permits were issued for alterations of the residential structures at 70 Broadcrest Drive and 16 High Street, with an estimated value of $154,166.
One permit was issued for a new garage at 98 Moore Drive with an estimated value of $17,101.
One permit was issued for a new 7,200 square foot building for D.C. Byers Co., 327 Industrial Drive, with an estimated value of $480,644.
Eleven miscellaneous permits were issued with a value of $12,250.
Through the first ten months of 2004, 241 permits have been issued with a construction value of $12,055,631.
Through the first ten months of 2003, 224 permits had been issued with a construction value of $24,486,969.
