These few pictures capture just a fragment of the good will that was generated by the first Christmas sing-along at the downtown First United Methodist Church. The singers were enthusiastic as the words were posted on the screen to well known carols.

It was a First Friday event - a musical hour open free to the public. The music may be a harp player, a chorus, a steel band - just whatever the program director Mrs. Clinard can schedule for the first Friday of the month. These musical events are sponsored partly by the Middletown Community Foundation as they recognize the community value inherent in having free concerts open to the general public.

The local artist community including Beau Verre Studio, Pendletown and Middletown Art Center also celebrate First Fridays with an open house.
